Lupe to be featured as MTV's Artist of the Week

Coming off of a spectacular Grammy night, newly crowned Grammy Award Winner, Lupe Fiasco will be featured as MTV's Artist of the Week beginning today Feb. 11th-17th, 2008. I will be watching MTV a bit more this week, yep. Enjoy your Monday!!

And the Winner is...

First and foremost I wanna congratulate Mr. Lupe Fiasco for his new Grammy status!!! He won for Best Urban Alternative Performance for Daydreamin' ft. Jill Scott , I knew you would get it!!! So, congrats again!!!

Lupe Fiasco at last years Grammy Awards

AMMMMMYYY WINEHOUSE!!!! Ran with awards for Best New Artist and Record of the Year along with some others. She may not have been physically present but she made her presents known! That's what's up. She deserved it! I just wish she could have made it to the States to perform!

And finally, Mr. West! Kanye won half of this eight nominations for best rap album for "Graduation," best solo performance for "Stronger," best rap song for "Good Life" and best rap performance by a duo or group for his collaboration with Common on "Southside." He also gave the world a sneak peak at what is to come for his upcoming world "Glo in the Dark Tour" which will feature newly crowned Grammy Winner Lupe Fiasco, N*E*R*D* and Rhianna. Also, in triubute to his mother, he had the word "Mama" etched in his hair and gave a tribute performance of "Hey Mama". So, congrats to everyone, and sidebar--- really glad Soulja Hoe didn't win ;)

And to end this post... it would only be fitting to play "Grammy Family" by DJ Khaled feat. Kanye, John Ledgend and Consequence. Enjoy!

Slap me...PuuuLease!

Lupe Fiasco: Live at the Roxy in the ATL

My brother (in the middle) and the Twins that we met at the show

The venue

Optimus killed it! They are bad@$$

Lupe when he first came on stage. I think he did "Happy Industries" first then "Touch the Sky" or the other way around.

In his False T-Shirt, and he had the little ninja hangin' on tight

Matthew Santos did an awesome job and it was sooo cool seeing him. He sang his heart out

Gemini can rap super fast, lol. $100 bill yo!

my best and favorite shot

While there was a technical diffuclty situation going on for about 5 minutes, I called Bishop G who on on the stage and he ACTUALLY hopped down and came to talk to me and my little brother. He asked us if the sound was okay because he said it sounded horrible from on the stage. We told him it sounded fine. Bishop joked at how with 'Touch the Sky' it sounded like they had trumpets, he was like "we don't own trumpets!". Anyway, he is a super nice guy, very, very funny and it was nice of him to come down and chat it up with the fans. He even gave a fan that was thristy a bottle of water from the stage.

***Check Lupe's myspace pics. He's got the ATL show pics up and they are black and white shots.. they look great***

Lupe's Performance at the Roxy in the ATL

this was done by me, we were really close (front row and center to be exact) so the audio is a bit ruff.

Hot verses are ALL over this song. good stuff. enjoy.

And once again...Lu on SOHH's Focused.

Man, okay I have to address these political back and forths that have been going on b/w Rhymefest and Lupe Fiasco. SOHH.com, kinda pissed me off a bit with their "article"(which was horrible journalism, bad spelling, and wasn't OBJECTIBLE but it was more like a damn blog ,like this one, and had OPINIONS written all over it, that's a dern NO NO in journalism)...and they didn't put up my comment to the "article" that I posted because I'm guessing I had something real to say, or maybe because I called their a$$'s out and to say the least I wasn't BIAS. Also, I guess I wasn't using enough ignorant "internet thug" lingo that they LOVE to use so much.

So, enjoy the video and allow for me to gather my thoughts. Peace.

Lu on Tavis Smiley

It was a pretty interesting discussion. good stuff.

Great song, dope ass video.

Don't try to 'Dumb it Down' for 'em Lupe...though that's the only way Hip-Hop will understand.
